DIE PRESSURE
DIE PRESSURE
The maximum pressure of the die falls at the inlet. It will descend sequentially from the main flow along the Y axis to the outlet (die exit) and its pressure value is 0.
The above picture shows a reasonable flow design. The pressure distribution of each layer is even, and it gradually decreases as it gets closer to the die exit.
Understand the pressure distribution and change of inner die flow. The flow design not only considers the thickness uniformity of final product but also notices the pressure loss. If the pressure value is too high, the die lip gap will be opened. If the pressure value is too low, there will be some flaw on product (ex, ripple lines).
